What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a web content syndication format that enables you to have information delivered directly to your desktop using a news feed reader (also referred to as an aggregator). Each feed that you subscribe to is updated every time a site updates their content. This keeps you informed without having to browse each individual site. RSS feeds are usually marked with an orange icon like the one below.
